Payroll that runs on time, with the filings done

Your crew gets paid, CRA gets remitted, and the slips go out in February without anyone staying up late in the office.

Payroll goes wrong in predictable ways

Most of these show up after a business grows past a handful of staff.

Source deductions get remitted late and the penalties add up

Overtime and stat holiday pay are calculated differently each time

Nobody is sure whether a worker is an employee or a contractor

Records of employment go out wrong and Service Canada calls

T4 season turns into a week of reconstructing the year

WCB reporting is remembered in a panic every spring

What is included

Set up once, then it runs on your pay cycle without you touching it.

Pay runs

Weekly, biweekly, or semi monthly. Hours in, direct deposit out, pay statements to your staff.

Source deductions

CPP, EI, and income tax calculated and remitted to CRA on your schedule, before the deadline.

Alberta employment rules

Overtime, general holiday pay, and vacation pay applied the way Alberta Employment Standards requires.

T4 and T5 slips

Prepared, reconciled to the payroll accounts, filed with CRA, and distributed to your people.

Records of employment

Issued through Service Canada when someone leaves, with the right codes and hours.

WCB reporting

Annual return and premium reporting prepared from actual payroll data rather than a guess.

Payroll is the one thing your staff notice immediately when it is wrong. It should be boring.

How this runs

Review your setup

I check pay rates, classifications, remittance frequency, and anything CRA might disagree with before it becomes a problem.

Move it onto a schedule

Payroll runs on fixed dates. You send hours, I do the rest and confirm before money moves.

Filings on autopilot

Remittances, slips, records of employment, and WCB all tracked against their deadlines and filed.

Questions about payroll

How many employees do you handle?

From one to about forty. Beyond that a dedicated payroll platform usually makes more sense and I can help you choose and run it.

Can you fix a late remittance?

I can bring the account current and set things up so it does not happen again. Penalties and interest already assessed are between you and CRA, though relief is sometimes available.

Contractor or employee?

It depends on control, tools, and risk rather than what the invoice says. I will give you a straight read on where each worker sits and what the exposure is.

Do you handle payroll for a US business?

Yes, for existing clients, working with a US payroll provider for the filings. Ask on the call and I will explain how that is structured.

Get payroll off your desk

Tell me your pay cycle and headcount and I will quote it on the call.
